Think IIT-JEE, Think Resonance

Much rides on a rare scientific convergence that will empower scientific India but India is replete with heart-warming stories of so many technocrats who go beyond percentages.

"The ability to convert ideas to things is the secret of outward success". - Albert Einstein

The difference is that of attitude. India, today has the distinction of having Indian technocrats ruling the roost all over the world. The Indian standard of education has carved its own niche with the help of surging coaching institutes that not only make the education precise and accurate but also shape the personality of an aspirant. Successful students of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), Ajit Jain, the right hand of Warren Buffet, Ray Mehra or Nandan Nilekani, did not rise in a jiffy but toiled hard to make their dreams realize.

With the efflux of time, the rolling aspirations of achieving lofty dreams have made Kota, Rajasthan, a hub of quality technical education with the thickening of coaching institutes that have made education exact and clear-cut and Resonance  is one such coaching institute that has a band wagon of education made automated, scalable, simplified and reduced.

Started in the year 2001 at Kota (Rajasthan), by Mr. R.K. Verma, B.Tech., IIT-Madras, 1994, the legacy of nine years of Resonance Eduventures Pvt. Ltd. has broken down the bastion and has made a foray in not only inculcating logical reasoning and scientific temperament but has also infused in the managerial abilities.

The tryst with a great career at Resonance starts at a very tender age of 12 years (Class-VII) and from that tender stage only Resonance stirs the passion and ignites the students with a zealous attitude. Resonance offers tried, tested and trusted coaching programmes for the students of Class-VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII and XII-passed students. The institute offers Classroom, Distance Learning and On-line Learning programmes according to the varying needs of the students. The programmes meant for the students of Class-XI, XII and XII-passed are mainly targeted towards IIT-JEE along with other National/State level engineering entrance examinations. The programmes for Class-VII, VII, IX & X have focus on school/board exams, National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), Science Olympiads and above all building a solid foundation for the preparation of competitive examinations at 10+2 level and later on at graduation level.

Resonance has produced a total 5276 selections in Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) with 3345 selections from Classroom and 1931 selections from Distance Learning Programme. Many other students from Resonance have won Medals at International Science Olympiads, Scholarships in Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) and National Talent Search Examination (NTSE). Thousands of students from Resonance have also made their successful entry into various engineering colleges across the country through All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) and State Level Engineering Entrance Examinations (SLEEE).

Today, Resonance has its wide spread network of 11 Study Centres and 4 Information Centres well maintained with equanimity in strategized teaching methodology. The Study Centres are located at Kota, Jaipur, Bhopal, Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata, Nagpur, Mumbai, Udaipur, Bhubneswar and Bengaluru and the Information Centres are available in Indore, Chandigarh, Patna an Ranchi.

Resonance Eduventures Pvt. Ltd. has been instrumental not only in empowering the aspirants but also those who deep down their hearts carry a latent desire to achieve and do something big. Resonance is in a process to create an alcove to make the aspirants and identified aspirants fly high to realize their lofty dreams with clean attitude and clear aptitude.

Resonance’s Tips for Examination Day (IIT-JEE – 11th April 2010)

Make sure that you take a sound sleep of at least 6 hours before the exam day, taking a short nap of 30-40 minutes in the afternoon would be a boon.

  1. Always read questions carefully and underline the important terms by pencil so that silly mistakes do not occur.

  1. In the first round of solving the paper – Attempt those questions from the well prepared subject/topics. Second round - Attempt those questions in which you are 70% confident. Third round - Attempt the time consuming questions.

  1. Don't hesitate to leave the questions which you are not sure. Never try to attempt 100% paper, it is better to solve slightly fewer questions faultlessly.

  1. You will have good score if you attempt the questions in following order:

i) First attempt Single choice questions

ii) Read the comprehension carefully.

iii) If you feel comfortable, attempt those questions which carry 3x3 = 9 marks in one solution.

iv) Multiple choice questions carrying no negative marking

v)True/False statements

vi) Assertion / Reasoning if you are confident to solve it.

vii) In the end, attempt Match the column .

  1. Don't waste your time on a single question. If you are unable to understand the problem within one minute, leave that problem and move on to the next one.

  1. Use the value of constants given in the paper in solving a numerical. If the value is not mentioned, use the one which you remember.

  1. While solving objective problems all options should be checked and try to eliminate those options which have least possibility for the answer.

  1. Do rough work neatly so that you can re-trace your work easily for cross checking.

  1. Do not always cross check, if you are pretty confident about the answer, only make a ‘tick’ in front of question (i.e. flag the question) indicating that if time permits, you would re-check it. This saves your time.

Fill answer key after every 10 to 15 questions.
